This investment fund has a dual purpose: to offer its unitholders regular monthly income distributions and to provide prospects for capital growth. It achieves these goals by systematically investing in a "Convertible Portfolio," which primarily comprises convertible bonds issued by Canadian companies, with individual holdings weighted by their market capitalization. For a convertible bond to be considered for inclusion in this portfolio, it must satisfy specific conditions: The issuing entity must have an outstanding market capitalization of at least $50 million. The bond should exhibit an average daily trading volume of no less than $150,000 over the preceding 30 days. It must be publicly listed and actively traded on a stock exchange within Canada. The bond must not currently be in default on either its interest payments or principal repayments. It needs to have a remaining term of at least 31 days until its maturity date or next call option. Furthermore, a discretionary provision allows the Manager, should an external index be developed and made public that, in their view, employs criteria and methods consistent with the Fund's own, to decide to replicate that index and structure the Fund's investments according to its stipulated methodology.
