This actively managed fund aims to provide stable monthly income, capital growth, and reduced portfolio volatility. It achieves these objectives by investing in a concentrated portfolio of at least 20 global companies with a proven track record of dividend growth or a strong potential for future dividend increases, as identified by the fund manager. The investment process initiates with a comprehensive top-down analysis of the global large-cap market, evaluating macroeconomic and political conditions, alongside sector-specific fundamentals. This broad assessment is then followed by a rigorous bottom-up examination of individual companies, considering their dividend growth prospects, valuation, profitability, current dividend yield, balance sheet strength, and liquidity. To optimize returns and help minimize overall portfolio volatility, the fund manager also writes call options as deemed appropriate. The fund includes currency hedging for its Canadian dollar investors.
