About RBC Target 2024 Corporate Bond Index ETF
This exchange-traded fund functions as a fixed-term bond portfolio, structured to mature alongside its underlying assets. Its main goal is to generate income for investors by closely tracking the performance of the FTSE Canada 2024 Maturity Corporate Bond Index. This index primarily consists of corporate bonds denominated in Canadian dollars, all of which are set to mature in 2024. Each bond included must hold an investment-grade rating of BBB or higher, and no individual bond can account for more than a 10% weighting within the index. The fund itself is expected to reach its maturity date on or around November 30, 2024. Before its termination, RQL will voluntarily delist from the TSX. Upon maturity, the fund will liquidate, distributing all invested capital back to its shareholders. The underlying index is rebalanced twice a year, except during its final maturity year.
