About Shawcor Ltd.

Shawcor Ltd. is a global provider of materials science solutions, catering to the infrastructure, energy, and transportation sectors. Its operations are structured across three distinct segments: Composite Systems, Automotive and Industrial, and Pipeline and Pipe Services. The Composite Systems division engineers and manufactures flexible composite and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, utilized in applications such as oil and gas gathering, water disposal, and carbon dioxide injection, among others. It also produces fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) underground storage tanks for diverse markets, including retail fuel, water and wastewater management, and oil and gas. Additionally, this segment delivers comprehensive tubular management services to the Western Canadian onshore oilfield, encompassing inventory systems, mobile and in-plant inspections, and the refurbishment and rethreading of drill pipe, production tubing, casing, and various other tubular goods. The Automotive and Industrial segment develops and supplies a range of heat-shrinkable products, from thin to heavy-walled tubing, sleeves, and molded components, along with related accessories and equipment. It further produces low-voltage wires and cables essential for control, instrumentation, thermocouple, power, and general industrial uses. Through its Pipeline and Pipe Services segment, Shawcor provides advanced internal anti-corrosion and flow efficiency pipe coating systems, insulation and weight coating solutions, and specialized custom coating and field joint application services for both onshore and offshore pipelines. This segment also delivers critical ultrasonic and radiographic pipeline girth weld inspection services to operators and contractors. Furthermore, it offers non-destructive testing for the integrity management of oil and gas gathering pipelines and broader oilfield infrastructure, alongside comprehensive pipeline engineering and integrity management services for North American pipeline and other infrastructure operators. Originally founded in 1930 as Shaw Industries Ltd., the company adopted its current name, Shawcor Ltd., in 2001. Its headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada.
