A Forest Service Clock Started for Homeland Nickel, but Drill Approval Has Not Arrived

Homeland Nickel Inc. (TSXV: SHL) said on September 17, 2026 that the United States Forest Service had accepted its plan of operation for a sonic drill programme at Red Flat, Oregon, and that environmental and cultural review was well underway, including completed fieldwork. The company hopes to drill in October. The same release was reissued the same day because its paid-promotion disclosure described a video interview with another company's chief executive.

Aya Gold and Silver Has Drilled 3,501 g/t Silver at Zgounder and Sold Nothing From It Yet

Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (TSX: AYA) reported high-grade silver intercepts near the Zgounder pit and at depth on September 16, 2026, eight days after doubling the paper value of its Boumadine project and fifteen days after agreeing to buy a copper-silver land package. The shares closed at C$40.24 on 17 September. The company holds US$182.8 million of cash, and about 80 per cent of the metal in the Boumadine study is in the most speculative resource category there is.

First Lithium Minerals Corp. (CSE: FLM, FSE: X28) began a new listed issuer financing exemption offering on September 16, 2026, its third since May. Québec Innovative Materials Corp. (CSE: QIMC) launched an expanded 2026 natural hydrogen programme on the Ontario side of the Témiscamingue Graben on September 17, 2026: 823 new soil-gas stations at 100-metre spacing over about 80 line-kilometres, taking the Ontario database to roughly 1,733 stations, alongside more than 1,100 gravimetric stations and 78 line-kilometres of 2D seismic. The shares closed at C$0.59. The company's own disclosure says none of this measures flow.

Global Atomic Has a US$414.2 Million Approval From Washington and Five Conditions Before It Draws

Global Atomic Corporation (TSX: GLO) was halted on 16 September 2026 and announced that the board of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation had approved a debt facility of up to US$414.2 million for the Dasa uranium project in Niger. The shares closed at C$0.71, up 44.9 per cent on more than seven times average volume. The facility exceeds the US$327.9 million still budgeted for construction, and five conditions stand between approval and a drawdown.

Planet Ventures Fell to Five Cents Two Days Before a Consolidation That Changes Nothing

Planet Ventures Inc. (CSE: PXI) fell 16.7 per cent on 16 September 2026, to C$0.05, on roughly 37 times average volume and with no announcement that day. Behind the move sit a rights offering that issued 152,244,604 shares at a penny on 1 September, a five-for-one consolidation effective 18 September, and a year of disclosed investments smaller than the disclosed investor-awareness budget.

FireFox Gold Corp. (TSXV: FFOX) reported on 16 September 2026 that hole 26MJ032 cut 21.0 metres averaging 4.13 g/t gold more than 650 metres from any previous drilling at Mustajarvi in Finnish Lapland. What changed was the distance, and a paid listing that ran the same day.

Banyan Gold Corp. (TSXV: BYN) said on 14 September 2026 that it joins the index behind the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF on 21 September. Its AurMac project in the Yukon holds 3.639 million indicated ounces and 4.985 million inferred ounces of gold. There is no preliminary economic assessment yet. At Tuesday's close the market valued the company at about C$98 for every ounce in the ground, or C$233 for each indicated ounce.

A US$5.22 Million Cost Share for Bitterroot's Michigan Nickel Project, and an Unnamed Matching Half

Bitterroot Resources Ltd. (TSXV: BTT) said on 15 September 2026 that the U.S. Department of War will invest up to US$5,223,431 in its Michigan nickel-copper project on a 50/50 cost share basis. A cost share has two sides. The release sets out the government's side in detail and says nothing about who funds the matching half, which on the same arithmetic runs to roughly C$7.3 million against a company worth C$17.1 million at Tuesday's close.

No Assays and 20.5 Million Cancelled Options: What Hercules Metals Reported Before Tuesday's Open

Hercules Metals Corp., listed on the TSX Venture Exchange as BIG, reported on September 14, 2026 that its first reconnaissance hole at the Hook target in Idaho hit strong alteration and pyrite. Assays are pending, and the company said they should be more useful for pointing at the system than for returning copper. The same release cancelled 20.5 million stock options granted six weeks earlier, without giving a reason.

First Phosphate Corp. The indicated resource at Bégin-Lamarche has grown nearly fivefold since 2024. What is still missing is the economic study that would price the mine, and neither buyer is named.

Volatus Aerospace Inc. announced on September 10, 2026 a five-year Canadian defence contract for tactical ISR drones covering up to 5,000 systems. The committed portion is 100 systems. The remaining 4,900 are options exercisable at Canada's sole discretion, and the company states plainly that they are not purchases, backlog or revenue. At a stated maximum of C$5,000 per system, the entire ceiling is C$25 million over five years.

Quebec Innovative Materials Corp. (CSE: QIMC, FSE: 7FJ) engaged Echo Seismic and Strum Consulting on September 14, 2026 for 42 line-kilometres of 2D seismic across Bennett Hill and Apple River in Nova Scotia, the larger half of a 78-kilometre campaign and the biggest geophysical programme it has funded. It follows five drill holes that measured up to 30.0 per cent hydrogen at two centres about fifteen kilometres apart. The structural picture arrives this autumn; a flow test, the step that would settle deliverability, has still not been announced.

A Seville Court Restarts Emerita Resources' Aznalcóllar Case After a Quarter That Used C$6.4 Million of Cash

Emerita Resources said on September 11, 2026 that the High Court of Justice of Andalusia had lifted the suspension of the administrative case over the Aznalcóllar tender, frozen since November 2018. That restarts the case; it does not decide it, and Emerita does not own Aznalcóllar. What it owns is an 18.96 million tonne indicated resource in Huelva, a June 30 cash balance of C$9.1 million after a quarter that used C$6.4 million, warrants struck at C$1.30 against a C$0.33 share price on delayed market data, and an unresolved proceeding before Ontario's Capital Markets Tribunal.

Homeland Nickel's Oregon Drill Plans Are Filed and in Review, and No Forest Service Page Shows a Decision Date

Homeland Nickel has filed four Plans of Operations on its Red Flat and Cleopatra nickel laterite properties in Oregon and, the company says, the Forest Service has them in environmental review. The September approval dates in circulation appear on no agency page, the two Forest Service project records for the ground name a different applicant, and a 2016 federal withdrawal covering about 101,000 acres of the same two counties is absent from the discussion. The placement announced on August 27 had no closing release as at September 11, 2026.

Aya Gold and Silver Built the Mill It Promised, and That Is Why Its Second Project Gets a Hearing

Aya Gold and Silver's mill at Zgounder ran at 3,889 tonnes a day in the second quarter of 2026, against 1,236 tonnes a day in the quarter it declared commercial production. The gap between those two numbers is a case study in how a junior producer earns credibility, and in what that credibility does and does not cover.
