CDAY is an actively managed fund designed to offer investors a blend of stability, growth, and adaptable semi-monthly income payouts. Its strategy involves allocating capital to dividend-focused exchange-traded funds from both Canada and the U.S., alongside prominent Canadian large-capitalization stocks. The fund has the discretion to employ leverage, up to 25%, to potentially amplify returns. A significant portion of its income is derived from a systematic approach to writing covered call options daily, often utilizing zero-days-to-expiration (0DTE) options, and opportunistically selling cash-covered put options. For liquidity and risk management, the portfolio may also hold cash and money market instruments. All holdings are rigorously evaluated on an ongoing basis, considering prevailing market conditions and the metrics of its constituent ETFs.
