About Manulife Multifactor Canadian SMID Cap Index ETF

This exchange-traded fund (ETF) endeavors to mirror the returns of the John Hancock Dimensional Developed International Index (CAD Hedged), or any subsequent benchmark, as closely as practicable and prior to factoring in its own fees and expenses. Its portfolio predominantly consists of common stocks issued by companies situated in developed economies, excluding those based in the United States and Canada, through either direct or indirect investments. Furthermore, for its Hedged Units, the ETF aims to mitigate nearly all foreign exchange risk by converting the exposure back to the Canadian dollar. The underlying Index is structured to include a specific collection of equity securities from developed countries, again excluding the U.S. and Canada. Companies qualify for inclusion in this Index if, at the time of rebalancing, their market capitalization falls within the top 85% of firms within their respective eligible country and simultaneously within the top 90% of all eligible companies across all qualifying nations.
