This fund employs a multi-manager approach, enlisting several specialized sub-advisers, each bringing distinct expertise to identify and capitalize on opportunities within the infrastructure sector. Infrastructure companies are defined as those involved in the construction, maintenance, or operation of essential services vital to communities, encompassing areas such as transportation networks, energy utilities, water systems, telecommunications, healthcare facilities (hospitals), educational institutions (schools), and correctional facilities. The fund's investment mandate is broad, allowing it to allocate a substantial portion of its capital to companies located outside North America, and it is not restricted by the market capitalization of these firms. It holds a specific exemption permitting the use of derivatives, either for strategic hedging against market risks or to gain targeted exposure to various assets. Furthermore, an exemption allows the fund to allocate up to 10% of its total assets to Commodity Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to achieve exposure to physical commodities. To potentially enhance returns, the fund is also authorized to engage in securities lending activities.
