Uranium stocks in Canada
Live delayed prices for Canadian uranium producers, developers and explorers listed on the TSX, TSX Venture and CSE, with Athabasca Basin context and how the spot uranium price feeds through to share prices.
Canada is the world's second-largest uranium producer, and almost all of that output comes from the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan — the highest-grade uranium district on earth. That concentration is why the Toronto exchanges list a deeper set of uranium equities than any other market outside Australia.
The screen below separates the three stages investors usually confuse: producers with revenue from delivered pounds, developers holding a permitted or near-permitted deposit, and explorers whose value is entirely in drill results. Price behaviour differs sharply between them — producers track contract pricing and utility demand, while explorers trade on the spot price and news flow.

Frequently asked
- How many uranium companies are listed in Canada?
- Several dozen uranium issuers trade across the TSX, TSX Venture and CSE, but only a small handful produce and sell uranium today. The rest are developers or exploration companies with no revenue.
- What drives Canadian uranium share prices?
- The spot and long-term uranium contract price, utility contracting cycles, reactor construction and restart announcements, and — for explorers — individual drill results in the Athabasca Basin.
- Are uranium stocks a safe way to get uranium exposure?
- No. Junior uranium companies are speculative, frequently raise equity at a discount, and can lose most of their value in a weak price cycle. Producers and physical uranium funds carry very different risk profiles from explorers.
