Canada has hard-rock lithium in Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba, and a federal and provincial policy push to build a domestic battery supply chain around it. What Canada mostly does not yet have is production at scale — the majority of listed names are developers financing a first mine.
That makes offtake agreements and strategic investments the signal worth watching. When an automaker or a converter commits capital, it validates the project's economics in a way a resource estimate alone does not. The spodumene concentrate price sets the ceiling on all of it.
