QIMC Buys the Picture: Seismic Contractors Engaged for 42 Kilometres at Bennett Hill

Quebec Innovative Materials Corp. (CSE: QIMC, FSE: 7FJ) engaged Echo Seismic and Strum Consulting on September 14, 2026 for 42 line-kilometres of 2D seismic across Bennett Hill and Apple River in Nova Scotia, the larger half of a 78-kilometre campaign and the biggest geophysical programme it has funded. The structural picture arrives this autumn; a flow test, the step that would settle deliverability, has still not been announced.

Two Years In, F4 Uranium Has 17 Projects and a Partner-Paid Drill Program, and Wales Lake Still Owes a Grade

F4 Uranium was carved out of F3 Uranium by court-approved arrangement in August 2024. It now reports 17 Athabasca Basin projects, has had a 4,092 metre drill program at Murphy Lake paid for entirely by an option partner, and has raised C$1.0 million in flow-through money without a discounted common raise. The Wales Lake holes drilled to date have returned no better than 21 parts per million uranium, the 2025 core assays are unreported, and the September 2, 2026 survey mapped two conductor trends without dimensions. The company-building is real; the uranium is still to be shown.

GDP Growth Is Not Productivity Growth

Real GDP by expenditure grew 0.8% in the second quarter of 2026. That says nothing about whether output per hour worked improved — and for long-horizon investors, the second question is the important one.

Volatus Aerospace Wins a Seat in Canada's Defence Drone Marketplace. The Harder Part Is Conversion

Volatus Aerospace (TSX: FLT) has been qualified as a supplier under the Department of National Defence's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace, effective August 24, 2026 and running to July 31, 2031. The award carries no committed dollar value. Its worth depends entirely on whether pre-qualification converts into task authorizations before the company's C$59.2 million cash position is absorbed by an autonomy and manufacturing build-out that is still EBITDA-negative.

Open Text and the Debt-Funded Acquisition Problem
